DREAM OUTFIT (01/12/10)

Reactions to yesterday's outfit: There were none, considering that I didn't leave the house today!! LOL (well, I went and got the mail, but I was in my pj's).
So, what I was going to wear, I will wear today.)

However, this gives me an opportunity to introduce a new segment into the blog: The Dream Outfit. Now, I will not be posting this very often, probably bi-monthly, bi-weekly at the most. This segment will be something that will show what I would wear, had I the money or access to these particular clothes. Some things you may recognize and others, you may not.

ENJOY!!

REALLY COOL CAP!! I love this store over in Hawaii, FITTED. They take really great materials and just run with them. This NEW ERA 59/50 is one for the history books. For those that are baseball fans/ fitted fanatics (like myself), you should recognize that this is a nod to the late 60s-early 70s Seattle Pilots caps. Only instead of the block "S" on the front of the Pilot cap, it is a sillouette of King Kamehameha of the Hawaiian Island kingdom.

This shirt was one that I found on a website called bustedtees.com, home to a variety of very humorous tee shirts. THIS is one of those shirts. How many of you can remember playing the basketball skill game, HORSE? This is a spin on the game, that posits the question: What would a horse play? H - U - M - A - ... You know the rest.

These, my friend, is what you would call a nice pair of jeans. They are made by a company called The Hundreds, based out of Rosewood, CA. They not only know what a good pair of denim pants is supposed to look/feel like, but they are makers of A+ fitted caps, shirts, and shoes!!! If you wear something from The Hundreds, you will definitely be looking right! This pair of dark blue denim bottoms are a great way to set off the blue on the hat and bring out the yellows in the shirt and the shoes (which will be shown next).

Finally, this pair of NIKE Dunks are the coup etat of this particular outfit. I say that because there is a lot of detail and business going on in this pair of shoes. First off, the colors are a dead on connect to the hat. Also, if you look very close at the shoes, you can see distress marks and blemishes. If you are a fan of the vintage look, this pair of NIKEs is for you. Also, if you are a NCAA fan, you will be happy to know that this shoe is a part of the NIKE Be True Dunk campaign. So, it is a classic shoe all around.

Peace.
