This is D. Landry, with another view into my clothes closet, letting you see how I put things together. In all honesty, I really do not think that this is something too difficult to do. It just takes a combination of patience to find the right pieces, courage to go outside of the fashion norm, and a willingness to not look like everyone else.
With that in mind, take a look at the latest outfit:

The key to this outfit is NOT matching, but COORDINATION. Many people, male and female, have the misconception that in order for an outfit to be solid and correct, that it has to match from head to foot. In reality, this is not the case. One can always have a pleasing outfit, with pieces that play off of one another and coordinate with each other.
For example,The cap is a plaid number, made by a skate company called Chocolate. The colors are red, orange, black, and yellow. The "C" on the front is black with a red shadow/outline.
I really dig the shirt. Very fun loving and kid-like. The message on the front is timeless and simple: READING IS FUN-DAMENTAL, not to mention the "bookworm" takes the cake.
The RVCA x Leo Romero jeans are back! Nuff said.
Finally, the Nike SBs are really the capstone of this outfit because they help to tie the entire ensemble together. The shoes are composed of 3 colors: scarlet, gold, and white. All three of those colors are in every piece of the outfit: shirt, cap, and pants.
DIG IT!!!
